Bridget Hughes is the Senior Director of Corporate Governance Services in the Global Capital Markets group of Donnelley Financial Solutions (DFIN).
With over 30 years of experience in this industry, Bridget currently manages the proxy, corporate governance and ESG services for the capital markets group around the country, servicing public companies, private companies, investment banks and law firms. She leads a group of subject matter experts that consult and advise the DFIN client base in all areas of Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) regulation and investor communications. She has held a variety of roles throughout the Donnelley organization (and formerly Bowne), focusing on the SEC regulations in the compliance and capital market areas of the business. She was a Product Manager in the early 2000s in charge developing client-facing solutions for regulations that required electronic format & short timelines for filing deadlines. She spearheaded the Notice & Access efforts of the company ensuring public companies complied with electronic as well as physical distribution of shareholder materials. She has managed the New York salesforce, assisting and educating the sales team in regulatory requirements and annual meeting services. Institutional Investors have always been a part of this industry eco-system, a natural evolution of the adoption and importance of ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) issues and regulations for private & public corporations. The integration of ESG regulations into SEC regulations is a prominent focus.
Bridget is a member of the Society for Corporate Governance and National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), sponsoring and participating in the top industry groups providing thought leadership. She was inducted into the YWCA in 1998 and volunteered with the women entering the workforce program. She volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters NYC Workplace Mentoring Program, supporting high school students during the school year as they prepare for work in the business world.
Bridget received her Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University. She has worked in the New York City office her entire career and resides in Oradell, New Jersey.
